How They Are Made
I'd love to sell you one of these great projects but since you are looking at "Plans" my guess is that you would like to make it yourself!
The project plans are in PDF format. Some are free and you can just click the download link. Others cost a nominal amount to feed kids at "My Savior Lives" orphanage in Mumias, Kenya. Each plan you buy feeds 14 of the 120 kids there for a day! You can learn more about the orphanage at: https://mysaviororphanage.wordpress.com/about-us/

If you are looking for a folding workbench that is very sturdy and extremely portable, this is it! This workbench is only 5" thick when folded and you can set it up in two seconds flat. It is easy to build from two 8' 2x4's, one 6' 1x10 and a 36"x1" oak dowel. It is perfect for carving or you can sit tools like miter saws on it.
When you purchase the plan, I will email it to you in two PDF files. Part-1 is everything you need to build the table shown above. Part-2 adds plans for a matching stool and a low version of the table that is only 15" high.
I update these plans once or twice a year so when I do, I will automatically send you the update for free. I will also be happy to assist you with any issues you encounter when making it or tweaking the design to meet your needs.
You can see a brief video demonstrating this table on YouTube.
This sturdy, little stool is a great companion for the folding workbench. In addition to a providing a seat it doubles as a toolbox for your small tools. A simple rope and dowel handle makes it easy to carry.
Originally designed to teach woodworking in Nicaragua, it can be built with relatively simple tools from rough native lumber. It offers a number of interesting challenges such as a glued up top and stopped dados in the legs.
The toolbox/seat shown in the photos was built from 2x4 and 1x8 pine boards.
This is a free download so you can ignore the Donate button below. Simply click the link above to download the plans. However, if you do want to donate, the funds will go directly to feeding the 120 kids at "My Savior Lives" orphanage in Mumias, Kenya. This ministry is very thrifty and the staff is all volunteer so your $5 will feed 13 kids for a day.
