These hand crafted Shofar Stands will be a beautiful addition to your home, church or synagogue. They are very easy to use and hold the shofar securely.
The base and support pins are made from the same piece of wood so they match perfectly. The bases are from 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick and are 12"-13" wide. We can make the bases in a wide variety of hardwoods such as Oak, Walnut, Mahogany, Gum and Pecan. The support pin is always made from the same piece of wood for an excellent match of color and grain.
The 26" support pins are tapered on all sides from 3/4" at the top to 1 3/8" at the bottom and rounded to protect your shofar. This accomodates most if not all yemenite shofars but if you have one that is unusually long, short or has a very tight spiral we can adjust the pin. The support pin is held in place by a recessed wingnut so no tools are required to assemble it.
The wood is hand sanded and finished with lacquer on all surfaces to protect the wood and reveal the beauty of the wood's grain.
Custom inscriptions can be added to the shofar stands as shown in these photographs. These outset letters are carved from the original block of wood rather than being glued on.
Email us at Richard@HisWordInWood.com for options on woods, sizing and inscriptions. Your actual price will be $15 / hour actual working time plus the actual cost of the wood. Prices typically range from $100 to $200 depending on the complexity of the design and the price of the wood.
As you can see from this gorgeous African Mahogany stand, all of our shofar stands can be customized with lettering in any language. Price varies according to the complexity of the lettering.
Want to hang your shofar on the wall? This new rack's arms are adjustable to fit larger yemenite shofars. The inscription in raised gold Hebrew letters is YHWH or Yahweh. This item is made from 3/4" clear pine so it is light weight and it is finished in two tones with a lacquer finish.
Setup is very easy. Simply screw the french cleat on the wall and set the star on it. The support cradles attach to the arms using a single screw and then the two arms slip into a channel on the back of the star.
This is a really big carving with the star measuring 15.25" from side to side. It is also available without the inscription. See SS-021 below.

A young man saw one of my wall-mount shofar holders and said, "I didn't know you made gun racks?!" I smiled and told him that these racks are for REALLY high powered weapons... and so they are!
A shofar's coiling spiral is a tricky thing to hold on to. This simple and classic holder is designed especially to match the unique geometry of a Yemenite shofar. Hand crafted from rich African mahogany, this holder will complement the beauty of your shofar while keeping it out of harm's way. One size fits all.

A beautiful Yemenite shofar deserves a unique place of honor. This star of David shofar stand is hand carved from a single piece of solid white oak. The base is very heavy and 14" at the widest points ensuring that it is rock solid. The dark Hebrew letters spelling out YHWH or Yahweh are raised above the surface of the wood. Multiple coats of lacquer protect the wood and enhance its grain.
The matching support pin is tapered on all 4 sides and round at the top for a refined look. It attaches securely to the base with a single wing nut so no tools are required for assembly.
This shofar stand is also available without an inscription as SS-011 below. Please email us at Richard@HisWordInWood.com for pricing of other woods such as African Mahogany and Black Gum.
