His Word In Wood exists to raise support for missions efforts around the world. We are currently supporting three ministries that we personally know. They have a deep passion for serving our Lord, are rock solid scripturally, are very good stewards of the funds they receive and love people with all their hearts. You simply can't go wrong with these folks. I strongly urge you to get to know them and, if the Lord leads you to, to get involved with their work.
If you would like to specify which ministry you would like your purchase to support, just send me an email at Richard@HisWordInWood.com.
Collins Kokonya is a young man with a lot of children... in fact, he is dad to a hundred of them!
My Savior Children's Home and School is near Mumias, Kenya. Collins, together with a staff of volunteers, manage the home which not only provides food, shelter and education but also love, hope.
Everyone needs the gospel but the scriptures show that nothing comes closer to the heart of God than ministering to those without hope - like widows and orphans. The ministry used to be named "My Savior Lives Orphanage but they changed the name to emphasize that these are not orphans... they are children who are loved. You can connect with Collins on Facebook.
Voice of Hope Ministries has operated in León, Nicaragua for over 10 years. Based out of an old hotel, they provide a wide range of ministry to the community through feeding programs, building churches, medical outreaches and evangelism. The people of Nicaragua are among the poorest in the world and Voice of Hope is bringing hope to the poorest of them.
The feeding programs provide good, nourishing meals to over 500 children, and elderly / special needs adults every day. Incredibly, they can provide these meals for only $0.17 so your purchase on this website will provide a lot of meals!
In addition to their on-going work in León, Voice of Hope provides a staging point, transportation and interpreters for missions teams going to other areas of the country. If you would like information on supporting Voice of Hope directly, working on a short term mission team or doing an internship, click on the picture above. You can also connect with them on Facebook.
Vickie Cline is a gentle and sweet lady who has really helped me overcome my fears of trusting in the Lord and following Him where ever He leads.
Vickie's ministers to the women of León, Nicaragua with English-based Bible studies and sewing classes. Her goal is to teach them how to be true women of God, good mothers and wives as well as teaching them job skills to help them rise above the grinding poverty that they are trapped in. You can connect with Vickie through Facebook. I guarantee that she can encourage your walk with the Lord!
>>> WARNING <<<
If you hang out with these folks I guarantee you will be "messed up" for the rest of your life. Nothing will satisfy you except following the Lord with all your heart!
